SAN ANTONIO – The San Antonio service industry continues to show an outpouring of support for one of its own.

Samantha Flores was critically injured by a hit-and-run driver while riding her bike home from work. Since the crash two weeks ago, she has had multiple surgeries and will require lengthy rehabilitation.

Flores is described by her friends as a wonderful vegan, bicyclist and animal-loving friend.

"I want justice to be served for my friend. This is someone's daughter, someone's girlfriend, a hardworking individual and a wonderful human being," said Flores’ friend Annele Spector.

The Alta Vista Skateshop is pitching in to help Flores. Owner Paul Francis is printing T-shirts as a show of support for her friends like Spector.

So far this week, there have been two fundraisers to help pay for Flores’ hospital bills. Alta Vista even donated some goods including a skateboard for auction.

Spector said she and many others will fight for their good-spirited friend in need. They wants the driver to step forward and take responsibility.

The next fundraiser is on Thursday, Sept. 20 at Cherrity Bar where Flores worked at the time of the hit-and-run. Her friends have donated $7,500 at Giving Back Love to Flores through GoFundMe.
