TEXAS – Several Texas Task Forces are en route to multiple spots around the country to prepare for hurricanes expected to make landfall soon.

The Task Forces were deployed by the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA).

One Texas Task Force is on their way to the East Coast ahead of Hurricane Florence. A 16-person team will be sent to support North Carolina.

Another team is being sent to Galveston where a tropical disturbance is expected to enter the Gulf of Mexico this weekend. The storm is predicted to make landfall along the Texas coast on Friday.

The third team is heading to Hawaii to assist with FEMA’s response to Hurricane Olivia.
