AUSTIN, Texas – Singers are representing the Lone Star State as American Idol has opened auditions in the City of Austin.

On Thursday, Sept. 6, American Idol is hosting open auditions at the Palmer Events Center with people camping out as early as 6 a.m.

Auditions are also open online on the American Idol casting page. People can audition online, in-person, or both.

The Palmer Events Center is located at 900 Barton Springs Road.

Participants must be between 15 and 28-years-old.
