AUSTIN, Texas – The Austin Police Department reports that they found the body of a woman who went missing last Monday, Aug. 20.

Police said, in the early morning hours of Sunday, Aug. 26, Angela Morris, 47, was found dead in the woods behind a business complex near the 5900 block of West Courtyard Drive by search & rescue K-9s and missing persons detectives. The Texas Game Wardens and Travis County Search and Rescue team assisted in the search efforts.

Morris was last seen walking northbound on North Capital of Texas Highway on Monday, Aug. 20 around 2 p.m. after she had car trouble.

Homicide detectives and the Travis County Medical Examiner’s office are conducting an investigation and sorting through the tips they received since Morris’ disappearance. The Medical Examiner’s office will be conducting an autopsy to determine the cause of death.
