SANTA FE, Texas -- School starts Monday for students in Santa Fe, Texas.

For some students, Monday will be the first time they've been back in class since the shooting.

The new school year brings additional security measures. The school district installed metal detectors at entrances and hired five more police officers.

The school said it has hired extra counselors who specialize in trauma to support students and staff.
