AUSTIN, Texas – Democratic U.S. Senate candidate Beto O'Rourke will hold a town hall in southeast Austin on Thursday.

O’Rourke will visit Emo's on East Riverside at 5:30 p.m. as a part of his 34-day grassroots drive across Texas. O'Rourke's campaign said he's meeting with Texans to hold open dialogues with Republicans, Democrats, Independents, and non-voters in hopes of unseating Republican Sen. Ted Cruz in November.

O'Rourke latest road trip comes after the El Paso congressman campaigned in all 254 counties.

“Running this campaign with people instead of PACs or special interests allows us to not only visit every single county in the state but to return so we can continue listening and learning from those we want to serve,” said O’Rourke.

O’Rourke has refused to take PAC money during his campaign but has consistently outraised Cruz. O’Rourke has $14 million to spend compared to Cruz’s $10.4 million, according to the latest campaign finance reports.

Still, Cruz leads in the latest polls and has also been campaigning across the state over the past few weeks.

The two candidates are currently discussing the details of debating five times.

O’Rourke will also head to San Antonio this week.
