AUSTIN, Texas – A woman is seriously injured after crashing on a scooter in downtown Austin.

Austin/Travis County EMS said a woman in her 20s crashed into a fixed object on Tuesday around 4:52 p.m.

The woman was transported to Dell Seton Medical Center with serious injuries. It's not believed her injuries are life-threatening, however. 

The crash occurred on the 100 block of East 11^th Street. 

So far, police have not said if the scooter was an electric Bird or Lime scooter.
