AUSTIN, Texas -- The Dell Medical School at UT Austin is using analytics to fight diseases like diabetes.
The school has created a biomedical data science hub.
The facility will study clinical factors and family history, as well as other data like lifestyle, community and work life. School leaders hope to use those analytics to predict who will be diagnosed with diseases such as Type 2 diabetes.
If successful, it could lead to early intervention, help prevent epidemics and cure diseases.
