TEXAS — A 7-month-old baby, who went missing with her mother almost three weeks ago, has been found in Mexico.

However, the investigation into the disappearance of the child’s 21-year-old mother, Eunice Noemi Garza, continues.

On July 13, the FBI requested the public’s help in locating Garza and her baby, Dayana Leeann Garza, who were last seen on June 27, leaving Laredo, Texas.

The child was located by Mexican authorities on July 17. FBI officials, working with the United States Consulate General’s office in Nuevo Laredo, were able to safely return the child to the United States Thursday morning.

Garza was last seen driving a white 2007 Saturn VUE sports utility vehicle, and was believed to be traveling to Nuevo Laredo, Tamaulipas, Mexico, possibly destined for her home in Nueva Era Colonia.

Garza is a Hispanic female, 5-foot-6 inches tall, approximately 195 pounds, with long brown hair and brown eyes.
