LLANO, Texas – Llano firefighters have their gasoline needs met after a shortage prompted their request for donations.

The Llano County Office of Emergency Management posted that they needed up to 500 gallons of gasoline by 9 a.m. Thursday morning. By 7:30 a.m. they posted that they now have enough gas.

Crews need the gas to be able to get out to fight fires.

It was requested gas be dropped off in approved Department of Transportation five-gallon containers.  Full or regular unleaded gas can be left at the Llano Volunteer Fire Department, next to City Hall.

Llano OEM did warn that people should not bring gas to the scene of a fire.
