AUSTIN, Texas -- Music lovers will flock to one of the largest free concerts in Austin.

KGSR’s 93.3 Blues on the Green will host music lovers and pets for an evening of live music on the Zilker Park lawn, Wednesday, July 18.

Wild Child and Los Coast will perform at Zilker Park starting at 8 p.m. Other activities include photos in front of the Wall O’Records, doggie pools, yard games and more. There are only two Blues on the Green shows left-- the next concert will be held Aug. 8.

Traffic restrictions will begin at 9 p.m. Barton Springs Road will be closed entirely from Azio Morton Road to Columbus at Mopac. Westbound traffic must U-turn back eastbound to Barton Springs Road. All eastbound lanes of Barton Springs from Azie Morton Road will remain open.

The entrance to Stratford off Barton Springs will also close at 7 p.m.  

The event’s rideshare and passenger pick-up zone will be under Mopac and Veterans. It is located here:

 

There will be no parking directly off of Barton Springs Road. Parking is not allowed in the neighborhoods around Zilker Park, and towing will be strictly enforced.

Other options to getting to the concert include:

  • Parking then riding: park in a parking lot, take your bike, walk or grab a pedicab
  • Take a bus: CapMetro bus routes 3,30,484 and 803 go near Zilker
  • Park at Rollingwood Center for $12 and take a free shuttle
