About 2:30 p.m. Wednesday Austin police received numerous calls from drivers reporting they had been shot at by someone in another vehicle.

Police located one of the victims, a 25-year-old Hispanic woman, who had been shot at in a northbound lane of South IH-35 East Frontage Road. According to the victim, she was approaching a gun store called the Range at Austin when the driver of a white SUV pulled out in front of her, causing her to change lanes. When she drove around the vehicle the driver shot at her. A bullet grazed her forehead and a second one entered the driver side door.

Police spoke to a clerk at Range at Austin who said a white man had earlier entered the store and asked to purchase a suppressor. The clerk said the man was acting strangely and the sale was denied. The man, who said he had two guns, then walked out of the store and into a white Chevrolet Tahoe.

About 5:04 p.m. Wednesday, someone reported a suspicious person with a rifle at Bob Wentz Park in Travis County. The suspicious man got into a boat that reads “Good Legislation.” There was a report of a shot fired.

Police located Curry at an apartment complex located at 1500 South Lamar Boulevard. He was shirtless and attempting to get into a side door of the complex when police arrived, the affidavit states. Management had already locked Curry out of the complex, rendering his fob useless.

Upon arrest, Curry was found with the keys to the Tahoe, which was located at a parking garage nearby. An officer located a black rifle magazine attached to an unknown object in the Tahoe. It had been covered with a blue blanked.
