AUSTIN, Texas — For any musician in Austin, the chance to represent the live music capital of the world is something to be coveted.
For the last five years, Project ATX6 selects six Austin musicians to showcase at international festivals. The six lucky artists get to showcase their music across the globe and serve as representatives of Austin's vibrant and diverse music scene.
This year's artists are BOOHER, Georgia Parker, Carrie Fussell, Jacob Alan Jaeger, Nnedi Nebula and Cory Reinisch.
On Saturday, the 2018 ATX6 were chosen to be part of the unique program and will gain local and international exposure.
By the end of this year, Project ATX6 will have helped more than 30 artists reach the international stage on 15 international trips.
