KYLE, Texas -- The Kyle Police Department on Monday reported a third person has been arrested in connection to a hit-and-run crash that killed a bicyclist in May 2018.
Police said Kevin Sean Deleon, 31, is charged with tampering with physical evidence and making a false report to a peace officer. He is the nephew of suspect Gilbert Villegas, 47, who was arrested in Houston in late June.

The brother of Gilbert Villegas, 50-year-old Daniel Villegas, was also arrested in late June and charged with tampering with physical evidence.

The deceased, 53-year-old John Lyon, was riding his bicycle along the I-35 access road in Kyle on May 27 when he was struck by a vehicle. The driver and his passengers fled, and the body was spotted by a passing motorist.
Police on Monday also reported they believe they have located the vehicle that struck Lyon. That vehicle, a Kia Optima, was located via air surveillance in Comal County.
The vehicle, police said, was located on a large piece of property and the front bumper is missing.
