AUSTIN, Texas — The Travis County Sheriff’s Office released a sketch of a man they believe is responsible for an aggravated sexual assault that happened earlier this month.

On June 9, at approximately 4:30 a.m., the female victim was walking through the Churchill Crossing apartment complex in the 14100 block of Thermal Drive when she was attacked.

According to the sheriff’s office, the suspect asked the victim for money then pulled her to a secluded area where he sexually assaulted her, stabbed her and then stole her cell phone as he fled the area on foot.

Suspect description

  • Black male with light complexion, 
  • 5 foot, 6 inches tall
  • Approximately 30 years old, 
  • medium build, straight hair and goatee
  • Was wearing a white shirt, blue jeans and brown jacket
  • Smelled of alcohol
