NEW BRAUNFELS, Texas — New Braunfels police have arrested the man they dubbed the Brisket Bandit.
On Wednesday, police arrested 47-year-old Rene Lozano in Guadalupe County and charged him with theft. He is accused of stealing nearly $1000 worth of brisket from a New Braunfels H-E-B.
In May, New Braunfels police posted Lozano’s photo on Facebook asking the community’s help identifying him. After the arrest, police again took to Facebook to thank the community for their help speading the initial post:
