AUSTIN, Texas — Austin Community College and Texas Tech are making it easier for students to transfer to the four-year university.

The program is called Tech-Teach Across Texas and it allows ACC students to fast track their bachelor's degree and earn their teacher certification at Tech.

"The cost of community college is low and intentionally kept low for more access and affordability. And here to guarantee that in two years you'll get your associate degree and then you only have to pay for one more year of college at Texas Tech University and then you're read for the workforce is an amazing journey,” said Dr. Richard Rhodes, president at Austin Community College.

Participants will also get a full year of hands-on experience in Austin ISD classrooms as well as certification exam practice.
