AUSTIN, Texas -- With parts of Texas set to get plenty of rain, Gov. Greg Abbott is taking steps to get the state ready.
The governor ordered the State Operations Center to elevate to Readiness Level 3.
Normal conditions are said to be Readiness Level 4. The governor is also making state resources available to assist local officials in their response efforts.
He engaged agencies like DPS, Texas Highway Patrol and TxDOT.
