1.    Lucky Robot (South Congress)       

It’s hip, it’s trendy and its fish are flown in from Tokyo. Lucky Robot locally sources its Wagyu beef and makes everything in-house. Its happy hour is Monday through Friday from 11:30 a.m. through 3:00 p.m. and offers pork belly sushi for as low as $3. Lucky Robot now hosts a 30 percent off weekend brunch happy hour.

2. Uchi (South Lamar Blvd)

If you are feeling fancy for the fraction of the price, Uchi serves sophisticated sushi from famous chef Tyson Cole. Throughout its menu, Uchi strives for sustainability, creativity and freshness. On weekdays from 5 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. Uchi offers spicy crunchy tuna for $6, hot or cold sake for $3 and small plates from $3-$6. 

3. Kome Sushi (Airport Blvd) 

Kome is a trendy and casual spot with a comfortable atmosphere. From Monday through Thursday 5 p.m. until 6 p.m., the most you would pay for a roll of sushi is $6 at Kome’s “hour of happiness.”

4. Makio (6th Street) 

Eastern cuisine meets Western food. They got together to create Makio Sushi. This Asian-fusion sushi lounge offers normally pricey sushi for a steal. Maki rolls are as low as $5.75 and individual yellowtail pieces are as low as $1.95. Come celebrate happy hour Monday through Friday 3:00 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. and Saturday and Sunday 5 p.m. until close.

5. Dawasushi (1st Street)

Every day until 5 p.m. is happy hour at DaiwaSushi, offering rolls from as low as $8. This casual restaurant serves a wide array of Asian food from tuna tacos to bubble tea. For a quick convenient bite, visit its food truck.

6. Kura Revolving Sushi Bar (Airport Blvd)

For an entertaining sushi experience, Kura rotates your rolls on a rotating conveyor belt that is fun and easy. It provides touch-screen ordering, diner booths and a variety of different pieces. Its successful new system automatically disposes sushi plates after a certain time to keep its freshness. From tuna steak to ramen, items are as low as $2.75 an order.

7. Haru (Research Blvd)

Haru began in a small shop and has grown into an upscale Japanese cafe that offers deals and discounts for anyone watching their wallet. Happy hour is every day from 4:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. If you happen to miss a happy hour, check in through the Haru website and claim one free appetizer and a free roll (not valid during happy hour times). It also serves a variety of hot dishes to pair with your sushi.

8. Barchi sushi (Colorado Street) 

For sushi with a modern flare and inviting atmosphere, Barchi Sushi offers its happy hour Monday through Saturday from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. and all day on Sunday. Reverse happy hour is available Thursday 10 p.m to 12 a.m; Friday and Saturday 10 p.m. tp 1 a.m.
