TEXAS – Six wounded veterans from the United States and United Kingdom will walk nearly 20 miles across Texas.

Walking With the Wounded will end their journey at the Stevie Ray Vaughn Statue on the Town Lake trail in Austin.

The veterans started stage two of their 1,000 mile walk crossing entire the country. Their journey began in Los Angeles, California two weeks ago and will finish in New York City in September.

They are walking to raise awareness for veterans' mental health issues. The trek is also raising money to support wounded veterans.

Prince Harry and former second Lady Jill Biden, actively support this cause.

The next leg of the trip will be in San Antonio starting at The Alamo on Monday, June 18.
