AUSTIN, Texas — Firefighters had to put out brush fire that erupted in the Steiner Ranch area of northwest Travis County on Wednesday afternoon.

According to the Travis County fire log, crews worked around the 1600 block of Lakecliff Hills Lane.

Travis County Emergency Services asked citizens to not bring out drones due to the need for STAR Flight to make water drops in an attempt to get the fire under control.

According to multiple witnesses, the grass fire has been successfully put out.

In May, Lake Travis fire officials said drones flying around last month's six-car crash on RM 620 involving a Lake Travis firefighter stopped STAR Flight from landing.
