AUSTIN, Texas —  A 2016 appraisal, newly released to the public for a possible Major League Soccer stadium in North Austin, put the value of the 24-acre site at almost $30 million.

Austin's real estate services office sent the appraisal estimating $29.5 million to the Mayor and City Council Wednesday as talks are underway with the owners of Columbus Crew.

Precourt Sports Venture’s plan suggested a 20-year lease term at $1 per year.

That same appraisal puts the land lease value at almost $2 million a year.

Several other developers have come forward with their own plans for the former industrial site where hazardous chemicals were used.
