MOSCOW โ€” The biggest weekend in soccer that only happens every four years is set to kick off in a matter of a week.

The 2018 FIFA World Cup is nearly upon us. This year, Saudi Arabia takes on Russia in Moscow at the Luzhniki Stadium to start things off.

The last World Cup was played in 2014 and Germany took the win.

Here are watch parties in San Antonio, as well as ways to watch from the comfort of your own couch.

 

When is the 2018 FIFA World Cup?

The tournament begins on Thursday, June 14, with the Group A match. This is the only game that takes place on the opening day of the 2018 World Cup as the competition really gets going the following day, Friday June 15, with three matches.

The tournament ends on Sunday, July 15.

The opening game, Russia vs. Saudi Arabia, will start at 6 p.m. in Moscow, or 10 a.m. in Texas.

How can I watch at home?

For English-speaking TV in the U.S., Fox or Fox Sports 1 will be broadcasting. Spanish speakers in the U.S. can choose between Telemundo and NBC Universo.

Online streams will be available to US audiences on fuboTV.
