AUSTIN, Texas -- The Austin Fire Department on Wednesday afternoon reported units are investigating after a body was discovered in a creek bed.

The Rescue Taskforce was sent to a creek bed in the area of E. 6^th and Sabine streets. Waller Creek runs through the area. The Austin Police Department is now investigating.

On Friday afternoon, the Austin Police Department identified the man found in the creekbed as 61-year-old Jerry Perry. His death was ruled accidental.
