Town of Union residents may have recently noticed a change in the way their recycling is collected.

A town board member says plastic bags will no longer be accepted in bins.

If you bag up your recyclables in a plastic bag before putting them in the bin, they will not be picked up.

Taylor Garbage, the company who handles Union's recycling, alerted them of the change this week.

The town recommends taking your plastic bags to grocery stores to be recycled, and bagging recyclables in paper bags instead.
