AUSTIN, Texas – It is going to be a hot Texas summer, which means many people will be looking for a place to cool off.

Here is a list of some of the hottest spots in Austin to stay cool:

1. Barton Springs Pool

2. Deep Eddy Pool
Take a dip in one of the oldest swimming pools in the state. The pool is chlorine-free and has temperatures varying between 65 degrees and 75 degrees, making it perfect place to cool off.

3. Schlitterbahn Water Park

6. McKinney Falls State Park

Listen to Onion Creek flowing over limestone ledges and splashing into pools. Follow trails winding through the Hill Country woods with plenty of shade to relax in. 7. Mansfield Dam Park
As its name suggests, Mansfield Dam Park is located adjacent to Mansfield Dam on the main body of Lake Travis and serves as one of the primary access points for boaters. The day use area of the park offers picnic tables with barbecue grills, including several with covered shelters, tucked amid the canopies of native trees. Picnic sites and lake access are easily reachable by strolling along the meandering hike and bike trail to the location of your choice. 8. Starnes Island Lake Travis

9. Longhorn Cavern

Here you will find water slides, tunnels and a playground area located within Old Settlers Park in Round Rock. 12. Waterloo Adventures Waterpark

People in Austin have a new way to beat the heat this summer with a locally owned and operated waterpark atop Lake Travis. Waterloo Adventures is described as a floating water park and challenge course. Visitors begin with a boat ride out to "Adventure Island" where they can make their way through a 600 foot challenge course consisting of climbing walls, monkey bars, slides, bridges, and more.
