SANTA FE, Texas – The Santa Fe Independent School District held a press conference to give updated information about school closures and services available for the community.

  • Santa Fe High School will be closed Monday and Tuesday
  • The Red Cross has opened a family assistance center 
  • FBI said 10 people have died and 13 are injured

Superintendent Dr. Leigh Wall said the school will be closed Monday and Tuesday to allow people time to grieve. Students and staff have been able to go into the school on a limited basis to collect their valuables and cars.

The suspect is being held without bond and is charged with one count of capital murder and two counts of aggravated assault on a peace officer.
