MANOR, Texas -- The Manor Police Department is seeking the public’s help in identifying the person who dumped a dead dog in Manor City Cemetery.

Police said the dog was located inside a black metal cage at the cemetery, located in the 500 block of N. Lockhart Street, on Sunday, May 13.

Police identified the dog as a pit bull/American Bulldog mix and said it appeared it had been mistreated and that it died prior to being dumped.

Police believe the dog was dumped between 1:30 p.m. and 2:45 p.m. that day. They also believe the person who dumped the dog likely lives within four or five blocks of the cemetery.

Nearby residents are asked to check their cameras to see if they caught a vehicle carrying a dog crate within that time frame.

Anyone with information is urged to call the Manor Police Department at 512-272-8177 and ask to speak with Sgt. Struble. You may also send an email to police@cityofmanor.org
