AUSTIN, Texas – A portion of McKinney Falls Parkway will become a movie set on Tuesday featuring explosions and driving stunts.

The City of Austin announced a film crew will be shooting action scenes along the McKinney Falls Parkway, closing the road for the next two days.

The scenes will also feature simulated weapon discharges by actors and controlled pyrotechnics.

The parkway will be closed from Ojeda Middle School to Mckinney Falls State Park from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m. each night.

Six off-duty Austin police officers will patrol the perimeter to ensure the safety of the crew and nearby drivers.

So far, there is no word on what movie the crew is shooting.
