AUSTIN, Texas — University of Texas police are investigating a sexual assault that reportedly took place at a dorm room.

According to police, they responded to the incident at 3:40 p.m. Friday, May 11. The student told police a consensual encounter with an acquaintance turned non-consensual.

UTPD released a statement saying: “If you engage in sexual activity, be sure you understand your partner’s limits, and communicate your own limits clearly. Only engage in sexual activities when you have affirmative consent from your partner.”

The incident is still under investigation.
