NEW BRAUNFELS, Texas — Schlitterbahn New Braunfels Waterpark is kicking off summer by celebrating first responders and military members.

As a way to say thank you, the park is celebrating its third annual American Heroes Week. Between May 28 and June 3 all active or retired military, police, firefighters and EMTs can visit the park for free. Tickets for spouses and dependent children are available for 50 percent off the gate price.

First responders and members of the military need to show their military ID or proof of employment at the waterpark ticket booths.
