HUTTO, Texas -- Williamson County officials reported a judge’s home is a total loss following a fire Friday afternoon.

A fire at the Hutto home of Precinct 4 Justice of the Peace Judy Hobbs was reported at 12:44 p.m. Hobbs said her house is in ruins.

“It is a total loss of my home; however, I am grateful that there are no injuries. Thank you to all of the fire departments, first resonders, Sheriff’s Office and Pct. 4 Constable’s Office that have been so helpful during this time,” Hobbs said in a statement.

Officials at 3:25 p.m. reported the fire was contained and in the mop-up stage.

The cause of the fire was not immediately reported.
