FAYETTE COUNTY, Texas – A man was found dead in the Fayette Power Plant Lake on Monday.

Around 2:26 p.m., the Fayette County Sheriff’s Office was notified that a person potentially drowned in the lake.

With the help of a passing boater, arriving deputies found the victim in the water.

Once the person was brought to shore, the victim was pronounced dead.

A witness told investigators that the man had been in the lake since the morning near one of the frequented fishing spots.

The man has been identified as 66-year-old Charles Edward Lewandowski from Houston.
