AUSTIN, Texas — Melania Trump stepped into the spotlight on Monday to unveil her formal platform as first lady.

Mrs. Trump's announcement comes as a new poll shows a significant surge in support for her.

According to a CNN survey, 57 percent have a favorable impression of the first lady. That's up from 47 percent back in January.

At a ceremony in the Rose Garden, she outlined her 'Be Best' agenda. She says it aims to educate children about the"many issues they are facing today."

First lady Melania Trump says the agenda has three pillars:

  1. Mental and physical well-being
  2. Opioid abuse
  3. Responsible social media use
