SAN ANTONIO – A Texas woman walked away with more than $1 million after placing less than a $20 bet on a Kentucky Derby race.
The woman was at the Retama Park Race Track on Saturday, May 5 northeast of San Antonio when she placed a life-changing bet. Her Pick 5 wager meant that, not only was she correct when she chose Justify to win the Kentucky Derby, but she accuately chose the winners of the four races leading up to the main event.
Putting down $18, the woman won $1.2 million.
