AUSTIN, Texas -- A Major League Soccer ownership group would like to locate a stadium at 10414 McKalla Place, which is publicly owned, and the City of Austin wants to know what you think.

The public is invited to weigh in on the proposal beginning at 6 p.m. at the Northwest Recreation Center, which is located at 2913 Northland Drive. A second session that day will start at 7 p.m.

If you can’t make either of the first pair of sessions, another one will be held at 7 p.m. on May 10 at the Montopolis Recreation Center, located at 1200 Montopolis Drive.

Austin City Council is scheduled to receive a detailed report concerning the viability of the location by June 1.

Precourt Sports Ventures targeted McKalla Place, which is a 23.5-acre property located near the Domain, in March. The group hopes to relocate the Columbus Crew SC, an MLS team, to Austin.
