NORRISTOWN, Pa. — The most notable figure during the retrial of Bill Cosby wasn’t even Bill Cosby, it turns out.

Montgomery County District Attorney’s Office’s support dog, Turks, is a Labrador retriever who has her own Twitter account.

She’s been on-site to provide comfort jurors and prosecution witnesses.

Witness Judith Regan tweeted last week that the dog was the “best part of the Cosby trial.”

According Philadelphia Inquirer, Turks joined the district attorney’s office in 2014 to help reduce the stress and anxiety that crime victims and witnesses sometimes experience during court proceedings.

The office collaborated with Canine Partners for Life to obtain Turks.

Turks' handler is Kiersten McDonald, an investigator at the Montgomery County Detective Bureau. She told Buzzfeed News she was thrilled when more than four years ago her boss asked her if she wanted to have a dog partner. Turks isn't just her office mate but part of her family and goes home with her every night.

Bill Cosby, 80, was convicted Thursday of drugging and molesting a woman. He could end up spending his final years in prison after a jury concluded he sexually violated Temple University employee Andrea Constand at his suburban Philadelphia home in 2004.
