PFLUGERVILLE, Texas — A man wanted for murder in Los Angeles County has been arrested after a standoff in Pflugerville.

According to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Office, 55-year-old Kevin Darnell Dickson barricaded himself in a home in the 14500 block of Harris Ridge Road on Saturday.

The U.S. Marshals Lone Star Fugitive Task force members approached and surrounded the residence and demanded Dickson to surrender. When the suspect did not comply with commands and barricaded inside the residence, the task force requested assistance from the Austin Police SWAT team, who arrived on scene and continued negotiations with Dickson.

The homeowner was not home during the incident but cooperated with the investigation and appears to have had no knowledge Dickson was wanted for a murder in California.

The SWAT team apprehended Dickson after a brief struggle and he will be booked into the Travis County jail, awaiting extradition.
