Police have arrested the two remaining fugitive teens linked to the shooting death of a 19-year-old boy in South Austin on the evening of April 17.

Austin police announced Tuesday, April 24, that members of the Lonestar Fugitive Task Force arrested Jaylen Veliz, age 18, and Ceasar Carlos, age 18. Potter, age 17, was taken into custody on April 20.

All three are being held on charges of capital murder. Potter’s bond is set at $750,000; Veliz, $1,000,000; and Carlos, $750,000.

AUSTIN, Texas -- According to documents obtained by Spectrum News on Friday, three teens are facing capital murder charges in connection to the fatal shooting of another teen on Tuesday, April 17.

The suspects are identified as Tommy Lee Potter, Jalen Rey Veliz and Cesar Carlos.

Arrest affidavits identify the victim as 19-year-old Issac Morey.

According to an Austin Police Department detective, at 1:42 a.m. that day officers were summoned to a home located at 412 E. William Cannon Drive. Arriving officers located Morey with a gunshot wound.

Morey was transported to St. David’s South Austin Medical Center where he was pronounced dead at 2:08 a.m. on the 17th.

Officers spoke to six witnesses at the scene of the shooting, an apartment.

One witness told police Morey was in possession of a bag of marijuana and had invited people to the apartment in order to purchase the drugs.

Three teens arrived at the apartment a short time later, according to witness statements. Following negotiations, the three teens retreated to the parking lot before returning to the apartment. One of them was armed with a rifle, which he pointed at the witnesses. The teens demanded money and the marijuana.

One of the teens fired a single shot at Morey, striking him in the chest. The teens then sped away in their vehicle.

Police were able to identify the suspects from a short video posted to Snapchat, a popular social media platform. The suspect identities were confirmed by witnesses via a photographic lineup.

Austin police on Friday afternoon reported Tommy Potter is in custody. Jaylen Veliz and Ceasar Carlos remain at large. Stay with Spectrum News for updates on this developing story.
