AUSTIN, Texas – A local animal shelter is opening its second thrift store in Austin to benefit Texas animals.

Austin Pets Alive will open the doors to its new thrift store on the 1409 block of Oltorf Street on Saturday, April 21.

The boutique thrift store will house more than vintage clothes. The proceeds will go toward finding pets homes through APA’s life-saving programs.

The store is asking for clothing donations of new to gently used items.

The first location opened in 2017 on the 5801 block of Burnet Road. All of the donations will be eligible for tax deductions.
