NEW BRAUNFELS, Texas – A suspect has been charged with first-degree murder after a New Braunfels man was shot to death on Monday.

Around 11:40 p.m. police were called to the 2800 block of Windgate Drive to find a man with a single gunshot wound to the chest. Officers immediately began life-saving measures, but were unable to revive him.

The victim has been identified as 36-year-old Eleazar Longoria Jr.

Investigators were able to identify the suspect as 37-year-old Paul Jason Roberts during interviews with witnesses.  

Roberts was arrested and is currently in custody at the Comal County Jail.
