AUSTIN, Texas -- What was described as a temporary service interruption affected STAAR testing in districts throughout Texas on Tuesday.

Manor Independent School District Communications Specialist Zoheb Hassanali told Spectrum News that his district was affected by issues experienced throughout the state. Hassanali said the issue occurred with the test platform and that test coordinators were able to gets students back on the test and they were able to complete it.

Similarly, a spokesperson for Austin ISD said the interruption only lasted about 20 minutes and affected fewer than 900 students.

Bastrop ISD said the interruption occurred about 11:15 a.m. Tuesday and was resolved in about 20 minutes.

Spectrum News reached out to the Texas Education Agency for comment but had not heard back at the time this story was published.
