TEXAS – Beginning Monday, Texans across the state will have a chance to learn about the ongoing preservation work at the shrine of Texas.

The Alamo Treasure Roadshow is hitting the streets on a nine-city tour; allowing fellow Texans to take part in the preservation of the Lone Star state’s history. The show is also asking for input on building what will be the largest Texas Revolution Museum.

The roadshow aims to educate the public about the needs for the Alamo's structural rehabilitation.

Texans are also invited to share their personal stories and artifacts from the state’s shrine. Historians and curatorial staff from the Alamo and Texas General Land Office will be at each meeting to help attendees evaluate and document their stories and artifacts.

Roadshow staff will gather the Alamo-era artifacts to one day appear at the Alamo Museum and Visitor's Center.
