HOUSTON -- Cars that were flooded out during Hurricane Harvey are getting ready to be shipped overseas.

Insurance companies consider flooded cars to be total losses, but many of them still have life left.

Most of the vehicles will end up in places like Africa, the Middle East and Asia. Once they are there, they may be scrapped or sold to wholesalers. Since it's often cheaper to repair cars in other countries, some of them could even end up back on the road.
