LIBERTY HILL, Texas – A chain-reaction crash involving four cars on U.S. 183 near Liberty Hill left two people dead, who have now been identified.

On March 21, a car traveling northbound on 183 swerved to avoid another vehicle and crashed. The car hit a northbound vehicle, which veered into the southbound lanes and hit a third car head-on.

The third car then collided with a fourth car. The occupants of the third car died at the scene.

They have been identified as 79-year-old Theresa Burton and 48-year-old Norman Hashim Burton.

The crash is still being investigated by Texas Highway Patrol.
