AUSTIN, Texas — A woman previously accused of running an illegal group home has been arrested on new felony charges. In addition, she's suspected of operating two new homes under a false name.

Renee Segura-Livingston, 48, was booked into jail Tuesday on four counts of injury to an elderly or disabled person and two counts of theft and securing execution of a document by deception, stemming from the 2015 operation.

Back in August of 2015, Segura-Livingston was arrested during a raid of her East Austin home called God's Blessings on misdemeanor charges.

The Texas Attorney General’s Office obtained a civil injunction that was an agreed final judgment and permanent injunction for her to not operate any new unlicensed assisted living facilities, and to allow entry to conduct inspections into any facilities she operates to verify she was not in violation of that injunction.

Later, the Texas Attorney General’s office referred the case to the District Attorney’s office for further investigation, which resulted in the DA's office obtaining the latest indictments.

Tuesday’s arrest was related only to warrants that came from the DA's latest charges.

The District Attorney’s Office, Travis County Sheriff’s Office, Austin Police Department, Department of Aging and Disabilities Services and Adult Protect Services performed checks on two new homes Segura-Livingston is suspected of running under the alias “Eunice Green.”

The District Attorney’s Office says it is currently investigating the new facilities for potential new charges.

Background:

Discovered in August of 2015, 22 people in a 1,400 square-foot house were without air conditioning. Seven were hospitalized and 15 relocated from God's Blessings. At the time of the inspection, the arrest affidavit said she instructed her tenants to “tear off their patient wristbands" and to not speak to the police when they arrived to do medical checks.

Court documents alleged there was abuse, neglect, fraud and sexual assault happening at the home.
