AUSTIN, Texas — We Are Blood says their O negative blood and platelet levels are dangerously low.

The organization says despite more people being in town for South by Southwest and spring break, they're seeing far fewer donations.

• Only 7% of people in the U.S. have type O negative blood
• Donors are universal as their blood can be given to people of all types

Anyone who would like to donate can stop by or make an appointment at one of We Are Blood's locations in North (4300 N. Lamar Blvd) or South Austin (3100 W. Slaughter Lane) or Round Rock (2132 North Mays, Suite 900).
