AUSTIN, Texas —  AUSTIN, Texas —  One person is dead after a crash near Northbound Loop 360 and Pascal Lane.

According to Austin police, they received a call at approximately Sunday at 2:38 p.m. about a vehicle rescue. Witnesses said the driver appeared to have a medical incident or had fallen asleep behind the wheel and did not slow down as he left the roadway. The driver struck a metal light post and was pronounced dead on the scene.

Police said he is a white male approximately in his 60s.

The scene is still under investigations. Drivers should expect road closures and delays.
