AUSTIN, Texas — Austin police have released new details in the shooting death that occurred at the Domain on Tuesday.

Through witness interviews, detectives believe that they've shooting occurred during an illegal drug transaction.

On Tuesday, March 6, 2018 at approximately 4:47 p.m., Austin 911 received a call of shots fired in the parking lot of Dick’s Sporting Goods parking lot located at 3210 Kramer Ln. Austin police and EMS arrived on scene.

The victim, Adam Shorter, age 19, was located and transported to Round Rock Hospital with critical injuries. Shorter succumbed to his injuries while at the hospital and was pronounced deceased at 6:23 p.m. 

Two black male suspects fled the scene after the shooting.

The first black male suspect was described as medium build, early 20s, orange T-shirt, blue jeans, with short afro and a fade on sides.

The second black male was described as older (late 20s) with a belly and braided, pulled back hair. He was wearing a black T-shirt.

The suspect vehicle was described as a red Saturn.

An autopsy by Travis County Medical Examiner’s Office ruled the cause of death as gunshot wound and the manner of death a homicide.

Investigators do not believe there is threat to the public in regards to this incident.

AUSTIN, Texas — A man died after a shooting at the Domain on Tuesday. 

Police responded to 3200 Kramer Lane around 4:45 p.m. 

The victim was initially taken to the hospital with serious injuries, but he died hours later. 

The shooting happened in a parking lot near Dick's Sporting Goods. 

Authorities are asking people to avoid the area at this time. They believe that is an isolated incident, but the man's death is under investigation.
