AUSTIN, Texas — Grammy Award-winning band Dixie Chicks will headline the 2018 Mack, Jack & McConaughey Gala on Thursday, April 12, at Austin City Limits Live at the Moody Theater.
The Dixie Chicks are Natalie Maines, Emily Strayer and Martie Maguire.
Matthew McConaughey said, “The Dixie Chicks are incredible artists and we are looking forward to their performance.”
Jack Ingram added, “Every year the music at MJ&M just gets better and better and this year is certainly no exception. We are honored to have the Dixie Chicks headline the gala concert.”
“It's always fun to play in Texas and supporting this incredible charity event which empowers kids and saves lives, is an opportunity we are inspired to be a part of,” said Natalie Maines, lead vocalist of Dixie Chicks.
The event will benefit organizations dedicated to children’s education, health, and wellness, including CureDuchenne, Dell Children’s Medical Center, HeartGift, just keep livin Foundation and the Rise School of Austin.
The sixth annual MJ&M two-day event will continue on Friday, April 13, with a golf tournament at Spanish Oaks Golf Club.
MJ&M will host a fashion show and luncheon at JW Marriott with featured designs by Alice + Olivia.
Friday wraps up with the Jack & Friends concert with performances by Patty Griffin, Butch Walker, John Fullbright and more.
